Brrrr....
When we think of winter, we
think of snow even though it is not a common Sonoma County occurrence. Recent
freezing temperatures are making us more aware of cold weather. So we did some
research and came up with some cool (not cold) snow facts:
- Every snowflake has 6 sides
- .10 inches of snow equals one inch of liquid rain
- Over 80% of the world’s fresh water is locked up in snow or ice
- Most snowflakes are less than one-half inch across
