Social Media Spring Cleaning

PR Dust Bunnies?

Social Media Spring Cleaning is still in the air. It’s time to get rid of the outdated campaign tools (headlines, website links, etc.) and give your public relations projects a clean slate. I recently read a CyberAlert report that offered some great suggestions about how and why to get rid of those PR dust bunnies. Here are a few:
·         Overly promotional posts. Social media is a place to create discussion. If you’re too promotional, you drive away potential customers and hurt relationships with current ones. Make sure you post in a way that encourages two-way onversations.

·         Out-of-date social media profiles. Construct a posting schedule that you’re able to maintain so your followers can expect consistent, high-quality content. Utilize tools like Hootsuite and Buffer to schedule posts during times you’re not available, and recycle compelling evergreen content when needed
The blog also encourages creating an ongoing cleaning schedule. We agree. A few hours here and there can make a world of difference.
