Three Webinar Secrets

Here are Three

Webinars can help you reach the largest group of people. When done right, these seminars conducted over the internet can boost your credibility and help you expand your business. If not handled effectively, they could put a dent in your credibility. Here are three of the best practices mentioned in an American Express Small Business Open Forum article for creating webinars to wow your audience:

Master the Technology- Do a trial run with some of your associates who can act as audience. Ask them to tell you what they see and whether your delivery choices were useful.

Avoid live demos, if possible. They have been known to produce unpredictable results that might night be worth the risk. Instead, pre-record the demo and show video clips during the webinar.

Crank Up Your Energy- If you decide to do an audio-only webinar, it’s important to not sound monotonous. Unlike face-to-face presentations, your biggest impact on the audience will be vocal. Try to vary the tone and pace to allow for strategic pauses that don’t sound fake or forced.

When presenting a webinar, bring an element of entertainment. Not sure how to do this? Include brief human interest stories related to your message.

Be Generous- Briefly before the webinar begins, offer an array of resources, such as handouts, checklists, cheat-sheets, and templates.

Offer discounts or bundles, free samples or free services, promotional items, to name a few. These will show your audience how helpful you are.

These three best practices will create memorable and effective webinars. Other practices include slide design, and promotional selling points. To read the full Open Forum article click here.
