Getting Ready: February 2016 Conferences

Once the hibernating darkness of winter has started to lift – as it will this next month - we all get a chance (and have more desire) to go back out in the world again.  For some of us that means expanding what we know about the ever-changing face of public relations.

Here’s a roundup of February conferences and summits that sound pretty good.

Social Media Strategies Summit
Las Vegas, Nevada – February 9-11, 2016

This comprehensive 3-day social media marketing event addresses some of the tougher social media challenges, such as customer service, employee engagement, and measuring ROI.

Make Your Copy More Creative
Phoenix, Arizona – February 23‒24, 2016
This writing workshop is presented by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Wylie Communications.  The workshop goal is to learn to write attention-getting copy that is more likely to go viral as well as be remembered for a long time.

Social Media Summit
Huntington Beach, California – February 26, 2016

PR News related event explores real-world, tactical case studies from brands, nonprofits and agencies.  It also promises to be a great networking opportunity for those who want to learn more about cross-platform social media campaigns and visual storytelling.

If you’re lucky you’ll also be able to throw in a few days of rest and relaxation in three great Western locations known for their milder climates!
